The start of the season of Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United was an abysmal one as the Premier League kicked off on August 17 of the current year and Newcastle United lost their opening match of the season after being defeated when playing against Manchester City.
1 week later after their loss and Newcastle United had to settle with 2 consecutive draws against Aston Villa and later with Crystal Palace.
September initiated with Newcastle United losing 4-0 against Southampton and things continued going in a downhill spiral for Alan Pardew and his squad as they drew with Hull City and in their last Premier League match of the month of September, they suffered another loss but this time when playing with Stoke City.
Polls were being conducted with fans of Newcastle United displaying their disapproval towards the strategic decisions of Alan Pardew and the majority of the supporters of Newcastle United wanted the coach to be sacked due to the disappointing series of results that were shown at the beginning of the season.
Protests, criticism and signs of dissatisfaction was what characterized the supporters of Newcastle United as they wanted Alan Pardew to be sacked but things have slowly been taking a turn in favor of the 53 years old English manager that managed to secure his 4th successive Premier League triumph after defeating West Bromwich Albion on November 9.
Alan Pardew talked about this recent streak of positive results and stated that he will not get carried away and simply try to maintain focused.
“Maybe in my younger days I’d get carried away when we are on a run like this but I won’t now. We’ll just keep doing what we did from the start of the season. The results are much better and the confidence is higher. We have a different type of organization to our team and all of that is giving us the rewards we are getting at the moment.” Newcastle United’s Alan Pardew said.
