Kieran Tierney’s Transfer to Newcastle United Is a Priority

According to a recent report by Ben Jacobs in CaughtOffside, Newcastle United is reportedly interested in signing Arsenal’s left-back, Kieran Tierney, this summer. While the Scottish international could be available for approximately £40 million, there is no guarantee that he will be leaving the Emirates Stadium, as Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, is reportedly keen to retain him.

Newcastle United needs a left-back, and Tierney seems to be their top choice. Despite the addition of Oleksandr Zinchenko in the summer, Tierney has fallen out of favor in the Arsenal first-team this season. However, other clubs such as Aston Villa and Monaco could also be in the running to sign him.

Although there have been some rumors linking Tierney to Juventus in a swap deal involving Manuel Locatelli, Jacobs has dismissed those reports as somewhat unlikely. As it stands, Newcastle United appears to be the most interested party in securing the services of the 25-year-old defender.

Speculation has been rife about a potential swap deal between Arsenal and Juventus involving Kieran Tierney and Manuel Locatelli. However, there have been no concrete talks between the two clubs. Arsenal had expressed interest in the midfielder last summer but was rebuffed as he wished to remain with the Turin club. This stance remains unchanged, particularly as Juventus should buy the player this summer. Even if they were to sell players, Locatelli is not one they would be willing to part with.

Tierney has been an important player for Arsenal since he arrived in 2019, making 114 appearances and contributing to 18 goals. Unfortunately, his position has been usurped by Oleksandr Zinchenko, who arrived ahead of the current season. Moreover, injuries have further affected Tierney’s playing time. As a result, Arsenal may be open to selling the Scottish defender in the summer, providing a chance to recoup some funds.

Arsenal fans will hope for an amicable resolution, with a chance for Tierney to secure more playing time elsewhere. Juventus, however, is unlikely to entertain any offers involving Locatelli, as he remains a key part of their squad.
