Newcastle United waited for a long time before they picked up their first league win of this season and they have an opportunity to make it two wins in quick succession when they travel to take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium before they face a difficult festive schedule.

The Magpies were the only team yet to taste a win amongst the 92 professional teams in England this season at the end of the Norwich City game last week Tuesday as they were forced to a 1-1 draw at home by their fellow Premier League relegation candidates. Newcastle United played over eighty (80) minutes of the game with ten men after Irish defender Ciaran Clark was sent off for a daft foul on Norwich City striker TeemuPukki.

Crystal Palace dominated possession from start to finish and they were unlucky not to win the game. The Eagles have themselves to blame especially central striker Christian Benteke who scored the lone Palace goal and also wasted a lot of decent chances to score more than one. 


It’s a known secret that Newcastle United are eager to see Arsenal midfielder Willock return to the club after a successful loan spell during the second half of the season. While he was on loan with the Magpies last season, Willock scored eight goals in just 14 appearances in the Premier League including a goal each in his last seven games.
