WILL JOE WILLOCK PERFORM AT NEWCASTLE THIS SEASON?

After sealing his desired move to Newcastle United this summer, Joe Willock will be keen to take off from where he stopped last season as he would love to continue impressing the Tyneside club. Willock left Arsenal to join Newcastle on a season-long loan last season and he was nothing short of a sensation for Steve Bruce’s men as he could not stop scoring for the club. He kept scoring in the games he played for the club even though he was starting games from the bench week in week out. Following the emphatic season he had, he returned to Arsenal but Newcastle wanted more of him and so they started negotiating with the Gunners after making their intentions of signing him known to the Emirates club. Arsenal were first adamant that they were not going to sell him as they wanted to keep a player of his quality within the squad so he would help provide them with more squad depth.

Krafth was not always in the starting XI at Newcastle United last season but he did more than enough to make the 26-man Sweden squad for the ongoing Euro 2020 tournament though Lustigwas preferred to him for the Swedes’ opening game of the tournament against home team Spain in Seville. The Newcastle United defender came into the game at a time that the pressure was on the high side but his team was able to see it through to earn a point but it could have been more if striker Marcus Berg had his scoring boots in the second half when he missed a sitter when it was easier to score after good work from the impressive Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak who was a thorn in the flesh of the Spanish defenders throughout the game.
