NEWCASTLE UNITED WINLESS RUN HITS SIX 

Newcastle United are now winless in their last six Premier League games after they were forced to a 1-1 draw at home by newly promoted team Bournemouth last week Saturday. The Magpies were heavy favourites to take the three points at stake from the game, but they were unable to live up to the status and they had to come from behind to secure a point.

Manager Eddie Howe and his Newcastle United players began the current Premier League campaign on a winning note thanks to the 2-0 home victory over newly promoted club Nottingham Forest at the start of last month, but they are yet to add to that win in six attempts till date. Since beaten Forest at home thanks to the second half goals from Swiss international defender Fabian Schar and England international striker Callum Wilson, Newcastle United are yet to record a win in six league meetings.          REPORT: NEWCASTLE UNITED PREPARE €45 MILLION OFFER TO SIGN NABIL FEKIR

According to Fichajes, Premier League club Newcastle United are prepared to go big to land Real Betis star Nabil FEKIR. The French ace was one of the most sought-after names in European football. He came close to sealing a move to Liverpool in 2018 before the transfer fell through. Fekir eventually moved to La Liga and has been one of Real Betis’s best players since.

At 29, Fekir still has one big move left in him and with Real Betis ready to play ball, Newcastle are seeking to take advantage of the situation. The Magpies have had a rather muted summer transfer window despite their newfound riches, and Fekir might be the next player to join the Eddie Howe revolution. NEWCASTLE HAVE THE EDGE

The Magpies moved one point clear of the Seagulls after Saturday’s hard-fought win over Steve McClaren’s men. Sky Sports pundit Peter Beagrie believes that Newcastle United have the edge over Brighton and Hove Albion in the race to be crowned Champions of the Championship.

The two sides have continually swapped places at the top of the Championship table but it is Rafa Benitez’s men who currently sit on top of the pile.
