Benitez feels that he has had bad luck

The managerial charge of Rafael Benitez in Newcastle United initiated on March 11 of 2016 but so far it has been a fairly disappointing time for the Spanish manager as the amount of points that has been dropped is huge and Newcastle United are still at risk of being relegated unless they can claim a triumph over Tottenham Hotspur in their last match of the season and Sunderland will also have to lose their last matches in order for Newcastle United to have any chance of surviving in the Premier League for another season.

It still remains uncertain if Rafael Benitez will stay in charge of Newcastle United for another season if they are relegated.

Rafael Benitez and his squad dropped points after playing against: Leicester City, Sunderland, Norwich City, Southampton, Manchester City and Aston Villa. These are all of the teams that Newcastle United has faced off with and either lost or had to settle with a draw.

The Spanish manager believes that it’s because of bad luck that his team has dropped so many points and hasn’t been able to jump out of the bottom relegation zone.

“You don’t always finish where you deserve to be. Sometimes, you are unlucky, and I think that has been the case with us during my time here.We have been unlucky. We had a clear chance against City in the last five minutes and conceded a goal in the last minute against Norwich, so things could have been different. But we cannot change things now. The only thing we can do is make sure that if we have an opportunity against Tottenham, we are ready to take it.” Newcastle United’s Rafael Benitez said.

In order for Newcastle United to have any chance for survival in this season of the Premier League, a victory against Tottenham Hotspur is needed and considering all of the recent disappointing results that Rafael Benitez has secured, it seems like relegation is imminent but in the world of football anything can happen.
