PARDEW HAS PLANS

Alan Pardew already spoke to the media about his January plans as the coach of Newcastle United said that it will be a fairly quiet month involving transfers but even with his statements, there still are a number of players that have been linked with Newcastle United.

Werder Bremen’s Aaron Hunt has a contract with the German club that expires in the summer and the player himself is not certain on what he will do after ends. Newcastle is hoping to reach a pre-contract agreement with Hunt which means that he might make his move to the Premier League club on a free transfer only if Alan Pardew can reach an agreement with the club and the player.

Stoke City and Southampton are possible destinations of Aaron Hunt if he decides to make his way out of Werder Bremen. The 27 years old player did make a hint stating that if he does indeed decide to leave his current club, he would like to join a different league and country.

“So far there have been no calls, not even with other clubs,” he said. “The end of January, beginning of February, it will be more specific. If Werder are pushing for a quick decision, I would be set quickly’’.

“It is then decided in February or March if I renew with the club or leave. That someone is at a club for so long hardly happens. I am glad that they Bremen appreciate me so’’.

“I do not say that by no means will I leave the Bundesliga. But when it comes to change, I would appeal to more foreign countries’’. Aaron Hunt stated when asked about his near future.

Newcastle United are also keeping a close eye on Gueida Fofana and Cedric Bakambu but it still remains unclear whether Alan Pardew will try and make a move for them in the January transfer window wait until the summer.
