PARDEW GETS FINED

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has received the highest punishment given to a Premier league manager in the history. He has been fined £ 60,000 and given a seven match ban following his head-butt of Hull City midfielder David Meyler.

This is one of the several problems Pardew has run into players and other managers over the last few years. The manager has also been given a separate £ 100,000 fine by his club. The 52-year-old will now miss most of this season, and he has revealed that he is likely to seek help by attending anger management courses.

The FA has stated that Pardew will begin his second match suspension with immediate effect. Out of the seven matches, three will be from the entire stadium. The remaining four will be bans from the touchline only. After struggles with relegation during the middle of the campaign, the form of the club substantially improved in the last few weeks. The FA have also warned the 52-year-old about his future misconduct. The manager has apologised for the incident and stated that he would be prepared to accept any punishment given by the FA.

There was also a possibility of the manager losing his job after internal investigation by the club, but it now seems that he will remain as the Newcastle manager for the time being.

“Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew will serve a seven-match suspension with immediate effect, subject to any appeal, after he admitted an FA misconduct charge. An independent regulatory commission today ruled the first three matches imposed are a stadium ban with the remaining four a touchline ban,” said a FA statement.

“As I have made clear, I deeply regret the incident and again wholeheartedly apologise to all parties for my conduct, which I understand was not acceptable,” said Pardew on the club’s official site.
